Ubuntu Women Institute USA is a Not for Profit philanthropic organization established to commit its resources to activities which are intended to improve the social welfare of the marginalized women of Sub-Saharan Africa especially those women from countries that came out of civil war like Southern Sudan and many others. | |
Mission: The mission of Ubuntu Women Institute USA is to eliminate gender disparities, advocate for empowerment of women through education, leadership and sustainable development. | |
Vision: The vision of Ubuntu Women Institute USA is to promote long term projects to elevate the standard of women and wellness through Healthcare and literacy projects for women, and gender equity. | |
SSIWEL Project is Ubuntu Women Institute USA Inc first country project in Southern Sudan. Each Project shall carry Ubuntu Women Institute USA’s Log, the country name plus Institute for Women’s Education and Leadership. For example UWI USA project for women in Kenya shall bear the country name “Kenya” plus “Institute for Women’s Education and Leadership”. Therefore, it will read “Kenya Institute for Women’s Education and Leadership”. These projects are equipped to become independent organization if the women in these countries choose to do so with Ubuntu Women Institute USA as its overall Diaspora umbrella. | |
